Like the shoe, but…
They look nice and the non-slip sole works great. But after wearing them a few months, they’re not very comfortable at all anymore. I’m hitting pressure points in my feet and my toes are going numb. So expect to spend another $30 or $40 on insoles. But I still think it’s worth it because of the quality of the sole and the style.

Comfortable!
I love the fit and comfort. I insert additional art supports and the fit is still fine. The soles are thicker than I am used to so sometimes I catch the toe on carpet or uneven sidewalk surfaces.

Good product but wasn’t aware…………………….
The shoes got here in a timely manor. Fit well and good work shoes, comfortable. What I wasn’t aware of was that the foot-liner is a Dr. Sholls insert. That shoe is designed to have that insert replaced occasionally which is an added cost. Kind of a way to get you to buy Dr.Sholl’s inserts for future comfort.Add the added cost of the inserts and this shoe isn’t a very good value.Mind you, they come with insert in them but how long that insert lasts is subjective to the wearer of the shoe. I’m in construction and that insert will last probably 2-4 months so 3 times a year I’ll have to add another $25.00 each ($75.00).Just letting you know in plain clear language.CERNdog

Not the same great shoes I had before
I bought these shoes about 6 years ago for work, and those were fantastic. But they wore down and needed to be replaced, so I figured I’d buy the same exact shoes.Everything about these seemed like the same shoes until 3 weeks goes by and I start having pain in one of my heels.I tried insoles and in doing so saw that the right shoe had one of the shoe nails coming through the soul. It’s too late for a return, and everything about these shoes would be great except for that. It’s causing me major problems with my feet since these are my work shoes. So I don’t know how to recommend these right now cuz it could just be the pair I have.As of right now they’re only getting two stars because of this.

comfortable and priced right
Fits well. Normally wear a 12.5. Twelve was too tight but the 13 was perfect. Use them for work in the kitchen. A month in and they are holding up well and no issues.

Great shoe. Not for me any more
This shoe is all around great. I went back to it after years because I knew I liked it. I have been having some arch and heel pain though lately (probably due to age) and its very unfortunate because while everything else is great I cannot wear this shoe for my needs at this point in my life. It’s is 10.5 wide and fits nicely. It does last a while (5 months+) even in a kitchen working around 50 hrs weekly. Insoles can be replaced them and it helped mildly but not enough to make it tolerable. Well, it’s no longer tolerable which sucks because I used to love everything about them… if you do want a great shoe but no foot pain issues definitely the shoe for a job.

Ideal for dishwashing.
I had a pair of shoes much like these and wore them to wash dishes at work, but they wore out and fell apart. These are almost identical and work just as well if not better. The covering material could be more durable, but as long as I am careful, they should last me a while. If they do start to scuff, I recommend applying mink oil to prevent water from leaking in.

Very comfortable but coming apart at 6 weeks.
I was looking for something different from the rockports that I use to wear. These have been super comfortable and has a relax feel. I’m able to walk in them all day without discomfort. The disappointing part is the bottom layer is already coming apart. It’s only on the right shoe and might be because that’s my driving foot. However, no previous shoe has done this and it’s a bit surprising. Hopefully it was just a one off and not an example of poor quality manufacturing, the reason why I stopped wearing rockports.

Good, solid shoes
I’m the director of security at a facility and have walked a lot over the last 13 years both inside and (mostly) outside. This is the 6th pair of these shoes I’ve bought over the years, and I’ve strongly suggested them to my employees. They hold up really well, are comfortable being on my feet during an 8-hour shift, don’t slip easily and look good (because I wear a business suit for my security “uniform”)–they’re not sneakers. Because the uppers are leather, they take shoe dye easily (which I have to do a few times a year because I’m outside in all kinds of weather).

Very comfortable shoe
I really like this shoe, but don’t understand why Dr. Scholl cant get them made so that there is no separation of the soles at the heels. I try to fix them with Shoe Goo but I should not have to do this.Sam

Great shoes
I had to return the first pair, seemed about a half a size bigger than most other shoes I get. This the second pair I’ve had and really like them, first pair lasted about three times longer than other similar kind of work shoes I’ve had in the past. Continued to be slip resistant on wet floors even after wearing of most of the tread pattern

A Very Good Shoe
In 2009 I had surgery on my fight foot and then 2010 the same type of surgery on my left foot. These shoes provide nice arch support and make walking much more comfortable. I liked them so much I bought a second pair recently in brown.

Real leather shoes
As a DJ, I stand for long periods at a time. These shoes are comfortable and go equally well with jeans or dress slacks.Leather shoes — which are better for your feet — are being replaced by plastic shoes, so I’m happy to have found these at a very reasonable price .

surprisingly fashionable cheap work oxfords. I like them better than my doc martens. not high performance, but generally comfortable, and the wide is wide.

Good Work Shoe, but…
Some metal eyelets on both shoes have sharp inside edges that eventually abraded the original laces to the breaking point. Resorted to heavy leather laces. Otherwise, this is an outstanding product.

Roomy toe area.
My husband has only been wearing these shoe for several weeks. He is on his feet a majority of the time because he’s a barber. He likes the extra room in the toe area. So far they are comfortable for him.

Bottom comes off in two months but very comfortable
I got these for comfort because I have nerve damage and it makes my left foot very sensitive. I bought them in July and here it is december and they are still very comfortable, but the bottom is coming off as you can see in the picture. It started coming off in two months. I already tried using a glue to keep them together when the bottom started coming off. I dont want to get rid of them because they are non skid and it really helps when i’m moving refrigerators. I’m going to try gluing them again. That bottom coming off is the only problem.

Comfortable
I’m a mechanic so I spend a lot of time on concrete, I’ve only had these shoes a day and my feet are very happy. It remains to be seen how they’ll hold up in the extreme conditions I’ll put them in, but they’re comfortable and appear to rugged enough, we’ll see. I’ll post another update in a year as to how they held up, or sooner if they fall apart. I’m only giving 4 stars because time will tell as to how good a shoe they are.

at first I didn’t like the color in fact a misrepresentation, but I can always change that. The sole is a bit thin but when worn through easily replaced and albeit comfortable

Can’t Find a Cobbler?
What’s up with shoes that fall apart after a year? That’s what happened with the first pair of these. I am buying my second pair as these are the better quality of the two choices of APL shoe I can purchase for work. The cobblers are out of business because shoes don’t last long enough to get resoled. Such a waste.

Dr. Scholl’s Shoes Men’s
This is the 2nd time i have bought my brother these shoes for work. He loves them, he is on his feet for 12 hours during work hours and he says they feel amazing. He only needed 3 days to work them in before wearing for the whole day. He highly recommends for anyone that are on their feet for a long time.

Just ordered 3rd pair- have only worn 1 pair
My husband works 45-50 hours/week in the produce department of a grocery store. They are required to have non-slip shoes. Since he is in management, he cannot wear shoes that look like athletic shoes so we have to find business shoes that fit the bill. He wore Rockport for 2 years- until they discontinued his shoe. (That shoe would last almost 6 months, so we were used to spending $120/year on his work shoes. ) When I saw his shoe was discontinued, I started the search for another durable pair- which seems to be a very difficult task these days. I found a $54 pair that looked similar to the Rockports from a department store. They looked nice but that soon faded as they broke down, almost instantly. Adding $15 inserts helped them limp to making almost 3 months of wear. During this time, I was on the search- again- for shoes. About the time I thought it was a losing battle, I came across the Dr. Scholl’s dress shoes. I remember being so excited and saying, “I didn’t know Dr. Scholl’s made non-slip DRESS shoes!!” (Before management, my husband’s favorite pair of shoes were the Dr. Scholl’s non-slip walking shoes.)I ordered 2 pair with with confidence, secure in my trust in the Dr. Scholl’s brand. (And also happy there was a coupon, making them $40/pair. ) I was a bit hesitant about the look of the shoe because my husband is more old-school and leans more to a loafer type shoe and always complained that this look of shoe looked “oafy.” The day the shoes came, he was at work. When he came home for lunch, I showed him the shoes and he immediately kicked off the tragic pair, put on the Dr. Scholl’s, stood up and said, “Wow! These feel awesome!” He has plantar fasciitis that he usually has to use inserts if the arch isn’t good enough. He didn’t need the inserts and went back to work. When he came home, I asked how the shoes felt- he looked down and said, “I haven’t even thought about my feet since having these on so I have to say, ‘Great!’ “ I asked how he thought they looked and he said he actually liked them- that they felt sturdier than the Rockport loafers and this pair didn’t look oafy like others. That was December 24, 2020. I am writing this on May 21, 2021 and he is still wearing the same pair. They do show signs of wear (he’s hard on his shoes: unloading product from the delivery truck, stocking, cleaning, etc.) but a bi-monthly cleaning and polishing brings back the luster. The shoes themselves haven’t broken down yet and have a lot more wear left than the Rockports would have at this point.I was looking at my past orders the other day and there was a $10 off coupon for this pair of Dr. Scholl’s shoes so I ordered another pair. (I don’t want them to be discontinued and not have any.) We now have 2 pair in reserve for him once these finally give out. (I always give the shoes a good looking over and make him try on the new shoes before storing them to ensure everything is good.)We have put a pair of the plantar fasciitis inserts in the shoes recently to keep his arch up. (He broke his femur in high school and that foot is really hard on arches since it rolls in more than it should.)That just reminded me that these shoes DON’T stink!! The crap pair before these and even the Rockports would get the most pungent smell!! I haven’t had to spray or put any powder in these shoes at all- so there’s a huge plus for me!He has worn a size 9, regular (medium) width for over 35 years and these shoes are true to size.I know how important shoes are- not just for your feet but for your back too. A good pair of work shoes is a must and not something to skimp on. Thankfully, Dr. Scholl’s is keeping the bar high with these by making a great pair of shoes that last and offering them at a very reasonable price. From now on, we’re sticking with Dr. Scholl’s!
